Saratoga Foundation Featured in PBS-Covered Discussion on Ukraine’s Defense and Drone Warfare
Saratoga President Glen Howard participates in PBS-Covered U.S.–Ukraine Security Conference Panel examining Ukraine’s defense and drone Warfare Lessons for the United States.
The Saratoga Foundation participated in a U.S.–Ukraine Security Dialogue Conference organized by the Center for US–Ukraine Relations (CUSR), which was recently featured by PBS NewsHour, examining how Ukrainian drone technology is reshaping modern warfare. The topic is especially timely given Ukrainian drone support to the United States, Israel, and Gulf State allies, to deter Iranian attacks in the ongoing Gulf war.
Saratoga Foundation President Glen Howard spoke on a panel in late February examining Ukrainian defense capabilities and the lessons of Ukrainian drone warfare innovations for U.S. defense strategy. The panel was chaired by Debra Cagan, Senior Advisor at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, and included Saratoga expert retired Ukrainian Navy Captain Andri Ryzhenko, and Dr. Steven Wills, Navalist at the Center for Maritime Strategy. The conference was organized by Walter Zaryckyj, Executive Director of the CUSR, which works in cooperation with the American Foreign Policy Council.
PBS NewsHour’s coverage underscores the growing importance of Ukraine’s battlefield innovations and their implications for U.S. national security planning.
